| Urpresimas Urpresimas is at the end of the summer and is the main Holiday on Hullabazoola. During Urpresimas gifts are exchanged but not opened, to create the excitement of receiving gifts, but not the disappointment of finding out what they actually are. The gift are then redistributed next Urpresimas. Volcanoes Hullabazoola's volcano has long been dormant. A few years ago smoke was seen coming from the top of the volcano and panic spread across the island, as it was feared that it has become active again. A team of expert geologists and a helicopter were summoned to gauge the risk of eruption. When the helicopter landed on top of the mountain the geologists were accosted by a very annoyed Mr. Ed Sell who blamed the downdraft from the chopper for blowing out his cooking fire and ruining his much anticipated Songna and Runningberry stew, and by extension, his annual holiday. After proclaiming that there really ought to be laws against that kind of thing, the geologists left in a huff of downdraft. Weapons It has been illegal to import weapons on to the island for decades, but before the ban was introduced a recorder was imported and is keep in a glass case in the local library. All the locals have been issued with earplugs so in the event of the island being invaded the recorder can be broken out of its case and played badly. Needless to say this ensures Hullabazoola will remain an independent state, unless of course the invading army has an even deadlier weapon: beginner violinists. Old Drew's X X hits the spot with Old Drew's homebrew, the islands favorite drink. Fermented in a cave under the Quintonian Mountains, Old Drew's X is made to a top secret four year old recipe. Since Old Drew's untimely demise, the recipe is currently only known by his cat, whose current whereabouts is unknown. Zohadanian Peat Bog Not on any official map, the Zohadanian Peat Bogs exist in a secret location. None who had ever gone there have come back again, simply because of a really good drinking place there called: The pub at the end of the rainbow It serves Old Drew's X and the illegal Old Drew's III and it never closes. How do I know about it if it's location is a secret? Well this book was written over a few pint's of Old Drew's III. You're welcome to try and find the pub for yourself on your vist to this magical island. |
